Temperament: Mildly aggressive. Will be aggressive towards males of the same species during mating.
Description: In the wild, these Haps can be found in deeper waters but do well in aquariums. Males are blue throughout with dark barring along their body. These bars are darker towards the head and lighten up closer to the tail. Sometimes a black bar is displayed near the gills.
Tank Mate Compatibility: Other Haplochromis Cichlids and Peacocks, does well with Plecos and Cuckoo Catfish. Avoid Mbunas.
