The Maingano is a true showstopper in any African Mbuna tank, thanks to its striking electric blue stripes that run the length of its sleek, dark navy body. Two pale blue horizontal bands create a bold contrast, making this fish instantly recognizable and highly sought after by aquarists.

Breeding males display an even richer blue sheen, while females keep a slightly softer version of the same pattern—ensuring beauty in both sexes. Growing up to 5 inches, Mainganos are active, hardy, and add an unmistakable pop of color and personality to your aquarium.

• Temperament:  Aggressive, especially towards other males of the same species or look similar.
