The name can be deceiving for the Red Zebra. Aquarium kept Red Zebras are yellow whereas they are more red when found in the wild.  The zebra stripes also are not easily seen in many specimens.  Despite the naming, these Mbunas are lively but with their bright yellow color and their attitude.

  • Adult Size:  4-5"
  • Temperament:  Aggressive, especially towards males of the same species. 
  • Compatibility:  Keep with other Mbunas. Avoid keeping with Peacocks or Haps.
  • Suggested Diet:  SRC Hi-Intensity Color Plus Diet to promote color development.
