Aulonocara rubescens

This variety of the Sunshine Peacock was selected for its bright red body that has specs of brilliant blue.  These Peacocks will display a solid blue head.  Younger males will appear more yellow until reaching a more mature size.

  • Adult Size:  5-6"
  • Temperament:  Peaceful, conspecific aggressive.
  • Compatibility:  Keep with other Peacocks and Haps of a similar size. Avoid keeping with Mbunas.
  • Suggested Diet:  SRC Hi-Intensity color food to promote color development.
